Coram Deo, Mission Spokane, Washington

Monday, 9 December 2013

Give Thanks:

  • Good month of meeting new people throughout our neighborhood in walking door to door handing out invitations to our open house next weekend.
  • Relationships are developing and deepening with many of the families who have kids I coach now in Basketball and a few months past in football.
  • Our Children Jack (10) and Molly (8) have transitioned well to Spokane – they both celebrated birthdays in August and are developing good friendships.
  • The start of Coram Deo’s weekly study!

Trust God:

  • Two fold – networking contacts and funding contacts.
  • Networking contacts are a constant need to be supplied and the source of meeting new people to communicate the vision and hope of Coram Deo Presbyterian Church is increasingly transferring to the social networks of those gathering together.
  • The Holidays historically are difficult days to contact supporters as families gather and churches rest.
  • I constantly desire wisdom in how to proceed regarding timing of when to initiate various ‘phases’ of the plant developmentally.

Prayer Requests:

  • We are hosting our first Spokane Christmas open house inviting our neighborhood, families from teams I coach, coffee shop baristas we frequent, friends from school, and anyone else who will listen on December 14. Please pray with us for new connections to be made developing relationships and serving as people of peace in our neighborhood.
  • We have started a weekly study on the foundations of Coram Deo which cover doctrinal topics including scripture, justification, sanctification, in a conversational manner as it relates to ministry among those gathering and toward Spokane as a whole.
