Coram Deo Presbyterian Church, Spokane, WA – Rev. Kyle and Gretchen Parker

Wednesday, 22 October 2014

Give Thanks:

  • The Parker’s had a great fall in getting the kids started on their 3rd and 5th grade years. Our relationships within our neighborhood and community are depending and expanding and people are inquiring in an organic fashion about Coram Deo. Kyle is coaching both a boy’s select basketball team and a girl’s recreation team and the 20 families involved sought me out to coach.
  • We had a terrific end of summer start of fall ‘Deep South BBQ’ which was a great event to model kingdom living and community involvement with a good representation of our core group, neighbors, gym folks, and kids from the school and youth sports attending.
  • Thanks for your support of the Northwest Church Planting Network.

Trust God:

  • The pace of life and ministry without regular administrative help is tough. In the last month we have entertained several out of town guests, hosted two parities, Gretchen ran a marathon in Seattle and another in Spokane, Kyle had a retreat preceding presbytery then a trip to the Spanish River conference, and hosting a conference in Spokane next week before Gretchen departs Thursday for a trip to Northern California — all in all a little behind our goals this month.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for Coram Deo Presbyterian Church in Spokane as we move toward our public launch in a few weeks. We are experiencing great relational growth and long to witness our Lord move people toward his church. The season we are in is busy but we are expectant of great blessing this fall.
