Give Thanks:

  • This month we had two significant celebrations. Over the past months we’ve prayed that God would send us “Barnabus Families”, people who with ongoing development and absorbing our DNA would be ready to help lead sooner than later. Just last month a family that we pastored in Atlanta, but is originally from Seattle, finalized employment arrangements, secured housing and last week we helped them move into our neighborhood!
  • Additionally over the past months we’ve become friends with a couple who spent the past seven years in ministry at a church in Illinois. Originally from Portland, this couple felt called to return with a missional vision. The husband is general manager of a family business. After significant prayer and conversation they felt led to join our planting effort and attended our home community for the first time this past Sunday!

Trust God:

  • We are trusting God for two things this month.
  • First we continue to connect with healthy Christian families that might be called into the planting effort. Pray for their discernment and that God would continue to draw such people to form the foundation of our church.
  • Second, we have several non-Christian friendships and we’d love to begin seeing movement toward Christ, even if it’s baby steps!

Prayer Requests:

  • As a church plant we want to first seek the kingdom. To this end please join us in asking the Father to lead us on how we can serve His kingdom. Namely help us to understand how to love the weak, powerless, marginalized, and forgotten peoples of our community.
