Northwest Church Planting Network – Rev. Michael and Sandra Kelly

Thursday, 16 July 2015

Give Thanks:

  • We are now past the half-way mark with our summer interns and continue to hear very good reports from them, as well as their people and leaders in the church’s they serve. God has used them both in our congregations and our communities. One has now had two meetings with a young dis-embodied believer who he met at a shop. The other intern is falling hard for the Northwest!
  • Andrew and Amy Allen have seen a lot of success in their fundraising efforts for the Kenai Peninsula Mission in Alaska. God is providing for the work and we hope they will be in the Last Frontier very soon.
  • We are very encouraged by the progress at Coram Deo in Spokane. Kyle and Gretchen and their folks have done a great job building relationships throughout the community and God has provided a new, centrally located school for their fall public worship launch.

Trust God:

  • Our Planters and young congregations face the dual challenges of an increasingly oppositional culture and the natural instability of a nascent organization trying to find its feet and thrive. Every one of them is trusting God to provide, lead and establish the work of their hands.
  • Mike and Sandy see the challenges they face up close and are trusting God that his Spirit will use the relationships and planter care systems the Network has built to encourage and equip our leaders.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for efficiency and balance as Mike continue to serve Redeemer Redmond as Interim Preacher while also overseeing the Network’s ministries.
  • Please pray for Sandy as she studies and plans for this fall’s Wives’ Getaway. This is the most important event in the Network year and has born some of its most substantial fruit. Sandy will be leading the retreat with her team- Barbara, Kerri and Lydia as well as teaching on the Parable of the Sower.
  • We continue to plan for a fundraising initiative in late 2015 and early 2016. Please pray for wisdom, faith and provision.
