Mission Northwest

Northwest Church Planting Network – Rev. Michael and Sandra Kelly

Wednesday, 16 September 2015

Give Thanks:

  • Join us in giving thanks for our new mission in Alaska. In 2004 we launched our first works focusing on Washington. Then in 2007 we made our way to Oregon. Now we are in the “Last Frontier”, but it’s not really. We hope to work in Idaho soon!

Trust God:

  • With our new work in Alaska the Network now has planters and their families across 1700 miles N/S and about 250 E/W. Technology can go a long way to bridging that gap, but there is no substitute for in-person one-on-one care. We are trusting that God will provide community and shepherding for his shepherds in the field.

Prayer Requests:

  • After a hiatus due largely to my hip replacement, travel ramps up rather intensively this fall and winter. Please pray for productive trips and travel mercies.
  • Please pray as we will be engaging regional leaders and church members as well as some from around the country over the next months to share Network’s vision and needs.
  • Pray for our dialog with Covenant about establishing advanced training platforms in the NW. The 2015-2016 window is critical for the momentum of those discussions. Pray that we can identify students and the infrastructure necessary to make training sustainable in the NW.
  • Please continue to pray for the 2015 Northwest Church Planting Wives’ Get-A-Way in October. Pray that all who come will be a blessed. Pray for travel mercies. Pray that the women will return to the families and churches refreshed, encouraged, and loving the Lord with renewed strength.
