Northwest Church Planting Network – Rev. Michael and Sandra Kelly

Give Thanks:

  • Our monthly cohorts continue to bring real value to our area planters and pastors of established churches with 14 or more attending each month. We share genuine fellowship, pray for one another and problem solve in a peer setting. The mornings end with a lively discussion on a topic relevant to the character or skills necessary for ministry.
  • We are thankful for a wonderful Wives’ Get-A-Way in October. Our study this year was on the Parable of the Sower where we looked at how we are cultivating the soil in our heart. This year the Lord provided us with a beautiful house that sleeps 26 on the Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington. We had 23 women in attendance. I am thankful to the Lord the way he provides every year with the beautiful house, the wonderful women and his Spirit to show us how much he loves us.
  • Join us in giving thanks for the good work God is doing at Coram Deo in Spokane, Washington through Kyle and Gretchen Parker. During my recent visit I was blessed by the enthusiasm of the people, their joy to engage the labor and the obvious response of the people in Spokane who are visiting and returning.
  • Visits to two seminaries this fall remind us that God is raising up a new generation of leaders. We met with gifted men and woman with a heart for the lost and the saints, alike. Very exciting to see their faith and imagine what God will do through them.

Prayer Requests:

  • Lord willing, 2016 will see both Oaks Parish Church, Portland, Oregon and Kenai Peninsula Mission, Soldotna, Alaska will launch weekly public worship services. The details involved can be overwhelming. Please pray for love, wisdom and unity for the leaders and launch teams. Also pray that God would work in the hearts of their workmates, neighbors and the communities they serve.
  • We continue to need your prayers for the financial sustainability of the Network’s ministries. The next 12 months will lay the financial foundation for expansion or retraction of our impact.
  • Over the next 30-60 days we will make decisions about summer interns as we follow up to the students we met at our two campus visits. Please pray for wisdom and ask that God would bring us men and women whom we can help refine their sense of call.
