Coram Deo Presbyterian Church, Spokane, WA – Rev. Kyle and Gretchen Parker

Monday, 18 January 2016

Give Thanks:

  • The advent season at Coram Deo went very well for us – we anticipated a huge drop-off in attendance as our students departed for home but were pleasantly surprised by robust attendance in January and have moved over 70 per week in the first couple of weeks of January. The enthusiasm within the church towards worship, small group, and education hour is refreshing and visitors are well engaged by the congregation.
  • Matt and Callie Bostrom are adjusting well and a great to work with.

Trust God:

  • The lingering concern is developing new outside giving for the plant — we have several good leads developing and will follow up in February and March with trips to Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.
  • We will also need to better coordinate the logistics and management of the congregation as following up the many new visitors and establishing needed infrastructure in administration and ministry implementation threatens to overwhelm or relatively small leadership circle.

Prayer Requests:

  • Coram Deo is looking forward to 2016 with full hearts of gratitude and joy. The move to Sunday morning worship was the huge gift of 2015 for us and we are thankful for the great support we receive from the Spokane School District enabling us to rent Jefferson Elementary. We are getting to know a surprising number of new people interested in exploring Coram Deo which corresponded with the arrival of Matt and Callie Bostrom perfectly.
  • Thanks for all your support.
