Northwest Church Planting Network – Rev. Michael and Sandra Kelly

Give Thanks:

  • The Oregon pastors and planters have a long history of meeting weekly for mutual encouragement. Seattle leaders took their lead and began our cohorts a number of years ago where we augmented their pattern with a more intentional peer coaching and skill development system. Starting in January, the Oregon brothers are welcoming me once a month to integrate the systems we’ve used here to augment into their meetings. They sparked us years ago and now we can return the blessing. I am very thankful for their fellowship and the chance to build encourage one another.

Trust God:

  • Our prayer partners know very well that this year calls us to trust God for the financial sustainability of this ministry, so please allow (and expect even) me to mention this area in every monthly prayer request.
  • Additionally, our ministry accomplishes nothing if God does not raise up leaders to do the work of planting in the Northwest. We are trusting God to answer Jesus’ call to pray for laborers to join us in this field.

Prayer Requests:

  • We are zeroing in on our 2016 leadership development personnel. Please pray for our discussions with a number of potential summer interns and a possible two-year apprentice.
  • Pray that we are able to coach, encourage and simply love our planters and their wives and families well. We spent four days in Alaska with Amy and Andrew Allen and their three-month old baby girl. As well as our ongoing care for these faithful folks.
  • Please pray for our fund-raising efforts this spring. Pray for wisdom, faith and favor in the eyes of individuals and churches.
