Give Thanks:

  • I am thankful for my wife and kids.
  • It is a joy to be with my wife in helping her with this past month’s Sickle Cell Walk.
  • Since July we have had heartache after heartache, but the Lord has sustained us, and I have been blessed to be a husband and a father.
  • We also have had consistent attendance in our Jubilee Community members since August, our first meeting had over 30 people including children, and we average 10 every week. We have had a wonderful diversity of people attend and at least two non-Christians at every meeting.

Trust God:

  • We are about to end our Jubilee Community meetings and shift to the core group phase for the next 3-5 months. It is our prayer that we can continue having non-Christians, the poor, and people of color attend, but they are not in the same place as my Anglo brothers from CrossPoint and Mars Hill.
  • Pray that we might be content with who shows up, but also find ways to bind ourselves to this diverse community, especially the community my wife and I are deeply connected in as witnesses to Christ already. Pray that the “two congregations” might become one Him.
