Give Thanks:

  • We had our first vision forum last month and was blessed to have 15 adults there (and several folks couldn’t make it), and our bible study has progressively grown every week and has had new people attending as well.
  • With Solomon (the RUF Intern)withdrawing and heading to different, the college students I have already begun to gather still want to do a campus ministry, so that kicks off this week.
  • The fact that all of these things have happened during summer (which is a ghost town in Corvallis), is truly astonishing, even according to other local churches.

Trust God:

  • This is an overwhelming task. We love Corvallis, the people we have meet, and the community, and it is really hard to look at this task with all the components (including kicking off campus ministry), and wonder if we a) have the bandwidth to do it with and b) with the meager resources we have. Additionally, we are really wrestling with when we should kick off worship and have been praying through that.

Prayer Requests:

  • O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you; bring the nations into your fold; pour out your Spirit upon all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
